Three Eau Claire chapter members attended the 134th NSDAR Continental Congress in Washington, DC June 25-29, 2025.
Incoming Chapter Regent, Ruth Anderson, not only served as a delegate, she also was the featured pianist at the Friday, June 27th session, which included the introduction of candidates for election. This was Ruth’s fourth consecutive year playing for the national meeting. She has also been appointed to the NSDAR Music Committee for the next administration.


Honorary Chapter Regent, Georgia Smith, served on the House Committee for the meeting and staffed both the reception table and the coat check closet. She was honored to be a VIP guest of outgoing President General, Pamela Rouse Wright, in the VIP seating area every evening. Georgia has been appointed National Vice Chair of the DAR Scholarship Committee by incoming President General, Virginia “Ginnie” Storage. She will also continue to serve as the WSDAR’s state chair for the DAR Service for Veterans Committee.
Chapter Treasurer, Crystal Kusco, served as a chapter delegate and was a Flag Page for Congress. Crystal has served as a flag page for Congress for the past three years, carrying the Wisconsin flag, and this year she was honored to carry the POW/MIA flag for National Defense night. She will be serving Wisconsin as the WSDAR chair of the American Indians Committee.

Both Georgia (USAF) and Crystal (US Army) were recognized at the NSDAR Patriotism Luncheon for their military service. The Eau Claire Chapter was presented a certificate for Outstanding Service to Veterans and 100% Participation in the President General’s Project by President General Pamela Rouse Wright.
